"Burn it Down" was released as a single on April 26th with an EP and a remix EP, along with its music video before Linkin Park's fifth album release.

Living Things was relased on June 20th along with a vinyl version.

"Lost in the Echo" was released as the album's second single on October 5th, along with its music video.

"Powerless" was released as the third single off of the album on October 31st. The song is featured on the end credits of the 2012 American horror movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter but not on the official soundtrack based on the film. Chester Bennington explianed that the music video for this song will be shot.

LP Underground 12 was released on November 16th for the Linkin Park Underground fan club, spanning the career of Linkin Park.
